Cohesity announced the appointment of Sanjay Rohatgi as Cohesity’s Group Vice President (GVP) of Sales for Asia-Pacific & Japan. Rohatgi, who brings over three decades of information and communications technology industry experience and leadership, will lead Cohesity’s sales and customer engagement efforts in the region, with a focus on driving the adoption of Cohesity’s modern data security, management, and AI-powered solutions.
Rohatgi’s industry experience in the APAC region spans IT, sales, business development, product marketing, and consulting services. Most recently, Rohatgi held the role of Senior Vice President for the APAC region and General Manager for Data Storage & Cloud Storage solutions at NetApp, where he drove sales throughout the region, managed strategic partnerships, and refocused marketing around customer centricity. Prior, Rohatgi held a range of sales leadership and business operations roles at Symantec, Cisco, Nortel Networks, Telstra, and British Telecom Research Labs.
Rohatgi holds a number of tertiary qualifications, including an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia, a Master’s degree in Opto-Electronic from Strathclyde University in the UK, a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree with first-class honours in Electronics & Telecommunications from NIT in India, and more recently he completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
As a business leader, Rohatgi is passionate about the Asia-Pacific & Japan region and believes a company’s people are the most important asset for driving growth and taking business performance to new heights. He also enjoys advising startup companies on how best to scale in the Asia-Pacific region while being a big proponent of diversity, inclusion, and belonging and the importance of inclusive growth in driving business’s success.
