Followers of Istanbul soccer membership Besiktas threw 1000’s of stuffed toys onto the pitch on Sunday in a logo of solidarity with the youngsters who had been affected by the devastating February 6 earthquakes inTurkey.

The Turkish Tremendous League sport, which ended 0-0, was paused after 4 minutes and 17 seconds to permit followers to throw the presents onto the pitch. The earthquake first struck Turkey at 4:17am native time on February 6.

“Our followers threw scarves, berets and plush toys on the bottom of Vodafone Park to be given as a present to the youngsters within the earthquake area to cheer them up,” Besiktas stated in a membership assertion.

The loss of life toll from the earthquakes in Turkey and neighboring Syria has crossed 50,000.
